India is home to more than 1.5 Million E-Rickshaws that transport 100 million passengers daily. But, Coronavirus Pandemic has caused a 21-day lockdown, bringing entire nation to a standstill. These daily earning drivers are facing a hard-time as they have no source of income to match with their family expenses. Massive Earth Foundation is calling for donation to support the E-Rickshaw Drivers in these unprecedented times.

What are we doing?

Massive Earth Foundation is working to support these E-Rickshaw drivers through private donation, and a citizen crowd funding platform. The money raised will be utilized towards the welfare and upliftment of drivers and their families. In this initiative, MEF will focus on providing essential food supplies as well as emergency support to the E-Rickshaw driver community. They will be provided with essential grocery staples such as essential grocery staples like rice, wheat flour, dal and oil that last more than 21 days.

How are your donations being used?

Money from your donation will be used to buy an essential food kit. The kit will have the following items 10 Kg Atta, 5 Kg Rice, Pulses 2 Kg, Oil 1 Litre, 2 Soap, 5 masks.

Would there be any administrative charges or will MEF benefit from donations?

MEF is 100% not for profit organization, and won’t be charging any administrative charges. The full amount will be utilized for the benefit of rickshaw drivers.

Which section of the community will the donations be supporting?

The donations will be used to support rickshaw drivers in the country. Rickshaw drivers ranging from the pedal rickshaw, auto-rickshaw to the electric rickshaw.

How will I trace my donation?

Donors would be generated a unique transaction id after the payment. The transaction id will be linked to the details of the family that has been supported.

How will I make payment?

We will accept the payment using the QR code provided on our website.

What is the min transactions amount?

It’s up to the donor to select the amount, but we highly encourage Rs 949/donor because this amount helps a family of 5 for 21 days.

Is my donation refundable?

No, once the transaction has been done the money is not refundable.

How will we identify Rickshaw drivers?

MEF works with multiple rickshaw financing companies and NGO partners that will help ensure the responsible distribution of these kits while adhering to social distancing guidelines.

What is the area focus?

MEF aims to help drivers Pan-India starting with delhi/ncr region.

How will the donated amount be monitored?

We will disclose the use of proceeds in a financial transparency report sent to all contributors to the campaign.
